ACID ATTACKS/ STOP SALE ACID

The "Stop Sale Acid" campaign is dedicated to reducing the availability of toxic substances and increasing awareness about the devastating impact of acid attacks. This initiative gained momentum following the government's decision to include acid attack survivors in the benefits provided by the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act of 2016.

The primary goals of the Stop Sale Acid campaign are as follows:

- Prohibit the sale of acid in India
- Educate the public about the dangers of acid
- Assist in the rehabilitation of acid attack survivors
- Offer free legal aid to those in need
- Provide counseling services to survivors and their families
- Advocate against acid violence on a global scale

By working towards these objectives, the campaign aims to create a safer and more supportive environment for those affected by acid attacks, while also raising awareness about the need to address this form of violence.
