SHELTER HOME

The Laxmi Foundation has established a "Shelter Home for Acid Attack Survivors" in New Delhi to provide support to survivors facing various challenges such as medical issues, unemployment, and rehabilitation. Many survivors have reached out to us for assistance, and when they travel to New Delhi from different states for treatment, they require a peaceful environment for counseling, treatment, and post-treatment care.

Our shelter home offers a range of services including legal aid, counseling, recreational activities, educational opportunities, rehabilitation, and post-treatment care. All these facilities are provided free of charge, with all costs covered by The Laxmi Foundation. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where survivors can access the resources they need to heal and rebuild their lives.

women health and hygiene

Menstruation is often considered a taboo topic in India and many other parts of the world, with bleeding women and girls being viewed as impure and dirty. Unfortunately, this stigma leads to a lack of attention to menstrual health and hygiene.

To combat this taboo, The Laxmi Foundation regularly hosts awareness campaigns on Menstrual Hygiene to emphasize the importance of proper menstrual hygiene management on a global scale. Our team works to educate women and adolescent girls on the importance of menstrual hygiene, distributing environmentally friendly "Menstrual Hygiene Kits" to provide essential products and information.

These kits are designed to promote awareness of menstrual hygiene, cleanliness, and overall health. They include eco-friendly sanitary napkins and educational materials on menstrual hygiene. Our goal is to encourage women and girls to speak out on this issue and ensure they have sustainable access to necessary products.

By empowering girls to challenge the stigma surrounding menstruation, we are helping them gain confidence and ensuring they can continue their education without interruption. Our distribution of sanitary kits plays a crucial role in supporting girls and women in their menstrual health journey.

CHILD RIGHTS

The Laxmi Foundation places great importance on child rights. Our organization is dedicated to advocating for the safety, education, and overall well-being of children. We strive to protect children from exploitation, including child labor and child marriage, while also promoting access to quality education. Through our initiatives, we aim to create a better future for all children.

MITTI HANDPRINTS

We proudly embrace the path of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the new India. Our commitment to tradition is reflected in the vibrant and exquisite designs of Mitti Handprints by Acid Attack Survivors. One unique aspect of the Laxmi Foundation's approach is the Mitti Handprints project. This initiative not only provides a creative outlet for survivors but also plays a crucial role in their emotional healing journey.

Through painting and coloring activities, survivors can express themselves, release pent-up emotions, and find empowerment through art therapy. Creating something beautiful with their own hands can be incredibly therapeutic and uplifting for individuals who have faced traumatic experiences. Engaging in the Mitti Handprints project allows survivors to rediscover their creativity, rebuild self-esteem, and connect with others who have shared similar struggles.

The process of painting and coloring enables survivors to channel their emotions into something positive, fostering a sense of community and support within the foundation. The Laxmi Foundation's holistic approach to rehabilitation includes specialized care for the psychological and emotional needs of acid attack survivors. The Mitti Handprints project serves as a creative and therapeutic tool that aids in the healing process by providing survivors with a means of self-expression, empowerment, and connection with others.

Through these initiatives, the foundation supports victims in navigating their emotional journey towards recovery and reclaiming their sense of self-worth.

MENTAL HEALTH

Mental health is crucial for acid attack victims, and the Laxmi Foundation plays a vital role in providing comprehensive support to these individuals. The foundation focuses on addressing the psychological and emotional well-being of victims throughout their rehabilitation journey.

One of the key ways in which the foundation supports victims is through specialized counseling services. Trained professionals work closely with victims to help them navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges that often arise from such traumatic experiences. These counseling sessions aim to build resilience, boost self-esteem, and foster a positive outlook on life.

In addition to counseling, the foundation offers support groups where survivors can connect with others who have faced similar challenges. This sense of community and understanding can be incredibly empowering for victims, creating a supportive environment where they can share their feelings, struggles, and successes.

Furthermore, the Laxmi Foundation provides access to holistic healing practices such as art therapy, meditation, yoga, and other relaxation techniques. These activities not only promote emotional healing but also aid in physical recovery and overall well-being. By offering a range of support services, the foundation is dedicated to helping acid attack victims heal and thrive.
