women health and hygiene
Menstruation is often considered a taboo topic in India and many other parts of the world, with bleeding women and girls being viewed as impure and dirty. Unfortunately, this stigma leads to a lack of attention to menstrual health and hygiene.
To combat this taboo, The Laxmi Foundation regularly hosts awareness campaigns on Menstrual Hygiene to emphasize the importance of proper menstrual hygiene management on a global scale. Our team works to educate women and adolescent girls on the importance of menstrual hygiene, distributing environmentally friendly "Menstrual Hygiene Kits" to provide essential products and information.
These kits are designed to promote awareness of menstrual hygiene, cleanliness, and overall health. They include eco-friendly sanitary napkins and educational materials on menstrual hygiene. Our goal is to encourage women and girls to speak out on this issue and ensure they have sustainable access to necessary products.
By empowering girls to challenge the stigma surrounding menstruation, we are helping them gain confidence and ensuring they can continue their education without interruption. Our distribution of sanitary kits plays a crucial role in supporting girls and women in their menstrual health journey.
